Enriching your diet with antioxidants

Oxidative stress is a natural and physiological mechanism. This is the result of the body’s response to aggression, which can be multiple: alcohol, environmental aggression, poor nutrition, or an underlying pathology.

Such damage can be the cause of various chronic conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases.

Current scientific knowledge suggests that plant-based antioxidants would have a preventive or a moderating action towards this imbalance and/or chronic diseases related to oxidative stress.

Vegan Spelt Pancakes with Berries

Wholemeal spelt flour prolongs satiety and stimulates the intestinal flora(1). The berries have an antioxidant effect thanks to polyphenols(2). Rapeseed oil contains omega-3(3) and omega-6(4) fatty acids, of which a good balance is recommended(5).

Recipe for 2 (makes approx. 7 small pancakes)

  • 200 g wholemeal spelt flour
  • ½ packet baking powder (8 g)
  • 1 tsp cane sugar or agave syrup
  • 1 pinch of salt
